Call to Arms
We need Knights to head into stores and run weekly campaigns. I just had a nice long conversation with Josh over at Game Goblins here in town and he drove home the point that unless there are games running in his shop it is very difficult for him to get people interested in any new RPG.
Todd Gray has taken up the challenge and begins running a weekly game here in Little Rock, at Game Goblins every Sunday Night!
Who else can commit (or has already comitted and we need to get support to).
Steve, He Who Sits on the Elephant's Back!
I'm running a C&C game at Immortals Inc. in Rocky River, Ohio. And I'm starting up an Amazing Adventures campaign at The Side Quest, which is a geek bar here in Lakewood, OH.
I agree with Steve. A lot of these stores get the bulk of their money from card games at this point. If they're going to stock an RPG they need to see that people are playing it.
Soon we're going to have pages on this site that will allow people to submit games that they are running, and it will list them. So, people looking for a game in their area can find one.
Arcanechimera,
We are looking at the best way of getting support to you guys out there ... for instance you should be able to order the players guide and character sheet for your games ... and coordination from here. Helping people find games that are being run.
Steve
As a purveyor of The Side Quest geek bar Arcanechimera metnioned in his post, I'm glad to see AA and hopefully a little C&C make it there eventually. As for games I run, look for them at local conventions like MARCON in Columbus Ohio, and Con-on-the-Cob in Brecksville OH.
Where can we get the support material?
I am going to the 'Dragon tonight and will be talking with management about getting a posting up on their MeetUp to get the game going. I would like to put in any information pertinent for the KotC when I send them the text for the MeetUp posting later in the week.
Scott
We'll be running through some of TLG's modules, starting with A1.
Andy
I can run games at the store in Sierra Vista, just its an hour drive, each way, for me. So depending on what you mean by "support" I may be willing to make that drive every week.
Don't forget to keep track of your hours if you are running games at a game store or con. If you notify us of how many hours total you have put into running games at these places you can gain rank in the Knights of the Crusade.
